Mad Max Elliott - "The Blue Moon Goon" - Vinyl LP
Mad Max Elliott is the latest project from Madison-based singer/songwriter Max Elliott. Beginning his career as a folksinger, Max later played in bands around the area (Zola Jesus, Absinthe Minds, the Lonesome Savages) before focusing on his one man rock'n'roll band, Mad Max Elliott. Max creates a sound that's equal parts 'crazed' hillbilly and primitive early garage rock.
On “The Blue Moon Goon” Mad Max Elliott stirs a cauldron brimming with an INTOXICATING potion. Equal parts HILLBILLY MADNESS, and HEARTBROKEN LAMENT, Mad Max straddles a line between the PERVERSE and the PASSIONATE, the SICK and the SENSUAL, the INSANE and the IDEALISTIC. WITNESS the sounds and sights and the almighty SHRIEK of his guitar accompanied only by the RIOTOUS thump of his drums and the YELPING CROON that is his POTENT and INFECTIOUS voice. Featuring thirteen TALES of DEBAUCHERY and OBSESSION, “The Blue Moon Goon” is knockin' at the door to your mind. WILL YOU ANSWER?
